A Quick Update
Since it's been a minute..
So Blut Aus Nord released a new single titled “The Ordeal” and that’s a pretty fucking apt title to describe the last few weeks here.
It’s also an incredible song.
It’s a bit of a rerun of earlier in the summer except this time I’m not getting sued but I am looking at losing the house again. My mortgage is in forebearance, which goes away November 1st and while I am employed again, I had to take a massive pay cut, which I expected but then it seems like everything on the side just fucking evaporated. Discogs sellers are constantly posting on the forums about how August/September and now October are the worst months they’ve ever had. And yeah, same here. It’s been fucking bleak. But I could just get a second job until something else that pays where I was before Goodwill told me to fuck off but..
Another rerun: my partner’s MRI came back. The first month after her last treatment of reccurence was good, decent scan etc. This one? Not good. Her doctor wants to wait for another scan in early December to figure out treatment.
On top of that, after being suspcious of it for a few years but being told I was overly worrying by her pediatrician we got my daughter tested and she’s on the autism spectrum. As I’ve come to learn just from working with the general public the last few years, the idea of it being a spectrum is pretty apt and apparently I might fall under that umbrella as well, which would make a lot of sense. Anyway, she’s now getting weekly therapy with two more types to come, but not for a bit because there’s massive fucking waiting lists for these things.
Also I’m still fighting my old insurance to fix parts of my house that are..well..not fixed.
I’m going to try the gig economy plus we’ll see if my plasma is worth anything but these are all inconsistent, if anything. Almost everything I’ve tried this year has somehow blown up, be it playing a fest for twelve minutes or being tugged along by my prick for weeks for a job that paid well only to be told the guy was unsure because of “vibes” which, fuck that humid, balding cunt.
THAT SAID: I will be finishing the Halloween dungeon synth series this week as well as working on a Gates of Dawn interview for the new album, which is one of this years best, plus we’re getting close to list season. So, don’t cancel your subs just yet. I’m trying to figure out how to juggle competing difficulties.
